Andrew's
diverse and eclectic musical activities have ranged from playing percussion on
the BBC Radio programme Friday Night is Music Night to singing with the
Three Tenors! He has over thirty years experience (he started very young!)
of performance with some of the best groups on the amateur music scene in London,
Hertfordshire and more recently in the West Country. In addition to a busy performance
schedule both with the WCO and as a singer in the award-winning a cappella
chamber choir Bath Camerata, he is currently studying for an MA in Music with
the Open University.
Andrew took over as Musical Director in November 2003. Passionate about the potential
of amateur music making, he has long believed that music must always be performed to the highest possible
standard, whether in the Royal Albert Hall or the local village hall! Andrew is
delighted to be steering this fine, historically important orchestra back to its
rightful place as the best of its type in the region.
