The WCO would welcome enquiries from players of any orchestral instrument (for standard, see below) who would like to become involved with our orchestra. However, we would particularly like to hear from players of the following instruments:
Unlike many other orchestras we do not set a hard and fast Grade-based entry standard, but the sort of works we are scheduled to perform in future concerts dictate that players should play with a fair degree of competency. Good sight-reading skills are useful, but not essential, as the music may be taken away between rehearsals for home study and practice. Please see 'Membership' for full details.
All players must be able to play with good tone, intonation and sense of ensemble.
