Fabulous Lithuanian violinist Diana Galvydyte, 2007 winner of the Philip & Dorothy Green Award for Young Concert Artists, joins the Wessex Concert Orchestra in a concert featuring the beautiful
"The Lark Ascending" (Vaughan-Williams) and the excitingly spooky "Danse Macabre" (Saint-Saens).
Other works featured in this concert, held in collaboration with Making Music, include Borodin's
"In the Steppes of Central Asia" and Debussy's "La Cathédrale Engloutie". In lighter vein, we will perform themes to Pink Panther, Mission Impossible, and James Bond. Our eclectic blend concludes with a very special homage to some orchestral masterpieces - courtesy of Bugs Bunny!!
